Music brings people together in many forms. Music can be used to communicate, express feelings, and become more active.


At Abilities Unlimited, we have used music to increase vocabulary and communicate feelings. We learn and understand the lyrics to a song.


By learning the rhythm of music, we look at the repeated pattern of movement and learn to beat to our rhythm


Music therapy has been proven to help people to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages, according to the University of Texas at Austin.


We have seen how music therapy improves the quality of life for our clients.


“Music therapy interventions can be designed to promote wellness; manage stress; alleviate pain; express feelings; enhance memory; improve communication; promote physical rehabilitation,” according to the University of Texas at Austin.


Our team loves music day. We can see them flourish and become comfortable with each other. We believe in life-long learning at Abilities. Music is just one way we bring our clients to feel comfortable with who they are and their abilities.
